Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join their team. The role involves working on complex transactions with cutting-edge companies in the technology and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in M&A, particularly in public and private company mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions. The associate will be responsible for drafting agreements, managing due diligence, and coordinating with clients and subject matter experts.

Location:

Duties:

  • Serve as an integral associate on M&A transactions
  • Draft definitive transaction agreements
  • Assist in managing all aspects of strategic transactions, including:
    • Due diligence
    • Disclosure letters
    • Coordination with subject matter experts
  • Support client relationships by providing strategic legal guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure the successful completion of transactions

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions or strategic transactions
  • Prior experience drafting transaction agreements and managing M&A deals
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Bar of the state where the candidate will be based (New York, California, or Washington) or eligibility for admission
