Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Trial Attorney to join its personal injury team in Macon, GA. This remote role offers the opportunity to represent clients throughout Georgia and requires an active Georgia Bar license in good standing. The attorney will manage their caseload from filing through discovery, hearings, mediations, and trial, demonstrating strong courtroom skills and a commitment to client service.

Duties

• Represent clients in personal injury matters from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.
• Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure thorough case preparation.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Georgia Bar, in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Georgia Bar license.
