Location:

Duties:

  • Focus on transactional and regulatory matters related to the 1940 Act, including IAA and ICA.
  • Provide legal counsel on market regulation, compliance, and relevant corporate governance matters.
  • Draft and review documents related to regulatory compliance.
  • Advise clients on investment advisory and investment company matters.
  • Manage complex regulatory matters related to the 1940 Act and its implications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Substantial expertise in the 1940 Act, including the IAA and ICA.
  • Prior experience working for the SEC or a law firm specializing in this area is preferred.
  • Strong background in transactional and regulatory legal matters.
  • Ability to manage complex regulatory work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with clients effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar, with preference for candidates admitted in relevant jurisdictions.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the 1940 Act, including the IAA and ICA.
  • Strong regulatory and transactional experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal matters and provide proactive guidance.
  • Strong client management and relationship-building abilities.
