Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney for its Seattle, WA office to focus on management-side employment and labor law. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of employment litigation experience, including wage and hour class actions, state and federal court proceedings, administrative agency matters, and alternative dispute resolution.

Duties

  • Represent clients in employment litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment cases.
  • Conduct workplace investigations on issues such as harassment and ethics violations.
  • Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and take and defend depositions.
  • Advise clients on employment agreements, severance packages, and policy drafting.
  • Represent clients before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of employment litigation experience.
  • Washington State bar license required.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.

Skills

  • Skilled litigator with experience in employment law.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
