Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated, bilingual Associate Attorney fluent in both Spanish and English to join their general practice in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will handle a broad range of legal matters and provide high-quality representation to clients. This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment with regular hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Duties

• Conduct consultations and engage with potential clients.
• Perform thorough legal research.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other attorneys.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.
• Handle administrative tasks related to legal matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills

• At least 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Familiarity with practice areas such as personal injury, litigation, immigration, family law, estate planning, probate, criminal law, and consumer law.
• Trial experience.
• Strong time management skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
