A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Property Owners Association practice in Texas. This role involves managing a blend of enforcement and transactional matters related to community associations, with opportunities to collaborate closely with senior attorneys on complex real estate disputes.

Duties

  • Supervise and review the preparation of pleadings, motions, responses, and discovery for both pre-litigation and litigation matters.

  • Manage a high-volume docket encompassing deed restriction enforcement, lien actions, and collection proceedings.

  • Represent the firm’s clients at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.

  • Engage directly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and develop legal strategies.

  • Coordinate workflow and mentor paralegals to ensure timely completion of assignments.

  • Collaborate with Shareholders and other attorneys across firm offices on multi-jurisdictional matters.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in real estate litigation, community association law, deed restriction enforcement, or related areas.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance both litigation and transactional tasks.

  • Proven record of managing a caseload from inception through resolution.

  • Capability to draft and argue motions, formulate discovery plans, and develop case strategies.

  • Strong client-interaction skills and a commitment to developing business relationships.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.
