A law firm in Dallas is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with hands-on courtroom and/or deposition experience, along with strong academic credentials. The candidate must be admitted and in good standing with a State Bar. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation matters in a dynamic legal environment.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Prepare for and participate in courtroom proceedings, including hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate with clients regarding case developments.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and management.
  • Assist with settlement negotiations and mediation efforts.
  • Stay current with legal developments and industry trends related to commercial litigation.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Hands-on courtroom and/or deposition experience.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to and in good standing with a State Bar.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to and in good standing with a State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Hands-on courtroom and/or deposition experience.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
