A law firm based in London, UK, is seeking a Senior Associate who will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with a diverse array of corporate clients, ranging from major international corporations to SMEs across various industry sectors. This role primarily focuses on transactional work, encompassing advising, preparing, and submitting visa applications. Additionally, the Senior Associate will be responsible for offering comprehensive counsel to clients on all aspects of UK immigration, including matters related to right-to-work and compliance. Business development activities and involvement in broader firm initiatives, such as government liaison and pro bono work, are an integral part of this role. As the key point of contact on client accounts, the Senior Associate will provide essential legal and strategic advice, with the necessary support from senior associates or managers. Moreover, the role includes managing and nurturing client relationships, conducting legal research as needed, efficiently maintaining a full caseload, and adhering to deadlines. The Senior Associate will also participate in client reviews, engage in report preparation, contribute to meetings and presentations, and take part in training activities. Billing and WIP reports are part of the responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this role should have a background in UK Inbound immigration, be a UK-qualified Solicitor, and possess experience in advising on corporate immigration matters, with a particular emphasis on sponsored work visas.

Duties:

  • Collaborate directly with a wide range of corporate clients across various sectors.
  • Primarily engage in transactional work involving visa application advising, preparation, and submission.
  • Provide comprehensive counsel to clients on all aspects of UK immigration, including right-to-work and compliance.
  • Engage in business development activities and contribute to broader firm initiatives.
  • Serve as the key point of contact on client accounts, delivering essential legal and strategic advice.
  • Manage and nurture client relationships, with support from senior associates or managers when needed.
  • Conduct legal research as required.
  • Efficiently maintain a full caseload and adhere to deadlines.
  • Participate in client reviews, prepare reports and meetings, and contribute to presentations and training.
  • Take responsibility for billing and WIP reports.
  • Leverage expertise in UK Inbound immigration.
  • Ideally, be a UK-qualified Solicitor with experience in corporate immigration, particularly sponsored work visas.
