An esteemed law firm in Stamford is seeking a talented Senior International Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join their team. This pivotal role involves advising a diverse range of clients on complex international estate planning matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide strategic counsel to U.S. clients with foreign assets, as well as foreign clients investing in the U.S. This position requires expertise in minimizing tax implications, drafting estate plan documents, and collaborating with both domestic and foreign counsel.

In this role, you will play a vital part in advising U.S. clients with foreign assets on the optimal structures for asset management, as well as coordinating with foreign counsel to structure estate plans that benefit foreign beneficiaries. You will also provide guidance to clients who are married to non-U.S. citizens on tax and estate planning structures. Additional responsibilities include estate administration for U.S. individuals with foreign assets and advising foreign clients on structuring investments in the U.S., including tax-efficient real estate acquisition. You will also handle U.S. reporting requirements for foreign investments and transfers.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, including a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and active membership in good standing in the Connecticut and/or New York or Florida Bars. With a minimum of 5 years' experience in the field, you should be well-versed in international estate planning intricacies. Your expertise should extend to drafting estate plan documents, administering estates for both U.S. and foreign individuals, and providing strategic counsel on tax-efficient structures.
