Insurance Defense Law and Motion Attorney

Sacramento office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an insurance defense law and motion attorney with 2+ years of law and motion work, preferably in civil litigation experience. The candidate will draft and oppose motions ranging from simple ex-applications to complex motions for summary judgment. Will work with trial motion attorneys. Argue motions and oppositions to judges. Work with trial attorneys on case strategy. Research and write on emerging issues of law and issues where there may not be clear authority. Meet and confer with opposing counsel. Discuss case strategy with experts. Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to the team. Must be Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar. Should have proficiency with the Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code.

The candidate should have excellent analytical and writing skills. The ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude is a must. Should be able to work independently. Superior writing skills are needed. The ability to quickly identify relevant authority is required. Should have superior analytical and legal research skills. Must have the ability to identify key facts from discovery, deposition transcripts, and other records and apply them to relevant case law. A proven track record of successfully supporting and opposing dispositive motions is required. The Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment is needed.
