Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will work closely with partners, colleagues, and staff to provide excellent legal services to clients. This role involves conducting legal research, providing counsel, negotiating on behalf of clients, maintaining client records, preparing legal documents, and supervising support staff. The Litigation Attorney must hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, have strong communication and negotiation skills, and be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Job Overview

The Litigation Attorney will be an integral part of the firm's litigation practice, handling a variety of legal matters and representing clients in court proceedings. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys, develop legal strategies, and advocate on behalf of clients.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on case-specific issues and prepare legal memorandums.
• Provide legal counsel to clients in conjunction with senior colleagues.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records and litigation files.
• Prepare legal documents, motions, pleadings, and other court filings.
• Conduct depositions, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
• Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants in support tasks.
• Collaborate with partners, colleagues, and staff to best serve clients' interests.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in Arizona.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in litigation and courtroom proceedings is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Arizona.
