Associate Attorney - Business Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Business Litigation practice group in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in business litigation and will thrive in a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork.

Duties

• Develop client relationships, establish legal objectives, and provide legal advice.
• Draft pleadings and discovery documents for various case aspects, including motions and trials.
• Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Consult with and prepare experts for litigation.
• Research complex legal areas to support case strategies and theories.
• Manage intensive fact discovery using electronic discovery platforms.
• Report comprehensively to partners and client representatives.
• Communicate and negotiate persuasively with opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Admitted to and in good standing with the California bar.
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience required.
• Strong analytical, research, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage caseloads.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
