A law firm located in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Trust Administration and Estate Planning Attorney with 3+ years of estate planning experience and/or trust administration and probate experience. The candidate will be responsible for meeting with clients to discuss and establish or amend trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, retirement plans, and charitable giving. Additionally, the candidate will direct the administration process by facilitating and administering trusts after the death of a grantor, probate of decedents' estates, and establishing conservatorships. Responsibilities also include overseeing and mentoring paralegals and legal assistants. The candidate must have a license to practice law in California.

 

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss and establish or amend trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, retirement plans, and charitable giving.
  • Advise clients regarding retirement plans and charitable giving.
  • Direct the administration process by facilitating and administering trusts after the death of a grantor, probate of decedents' estates, and establishing conservatorships.
  • Oversee and mentor paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on estate planning and trust administration matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage case files and documentation.
  • Represent clients in estate planning and trust administration matters as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • License to practice law in California.
  • 3+ years of estate planning experience and/or trust administration and probate experience.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

License to practice law in California.
