Job Overview

A law firm seeks a finance associate to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have experience in liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and special situations financings. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, representing hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and other financial institutions in both chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Duties

  • Represent creditors or borrowers in liability management transactions.
  • Engage in DIP and bankruptcy exit financings.
  • Participate in special situations financings.
  • Work on top-tier capital structure representations.

Requirements

  • Experience with liability management and special situations financings.
  • Familiarity with chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
