Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney for its St. Louis, MO office. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience handling a wide range of employment issues, including workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. The role requires strong litigation skills, including research, drafting memoranda, pleadings, discovery, and motions.

Duties

  • Handle workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases.
  • Manage wrongful termination and wage and hour disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
  • Address traditional labor issues and collective bargaining disputes.
  • Draft workplace policies and conduct employee training sessions.
  • Counsel employers on day-to-day employment issues.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Admission to the Missouri bar.
  • Ability to interface directly with attorneys and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and productively.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding judgment and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Admission to other state bars is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Missouri bar.

Skills

  • Excellent writing, communication, and legal research skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement legal strategies.
