Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid- to senior-level Telecommunications Associate to join its Washington, D.C. office. The successful candidate will work with domestic and international clients on commercial, regulatory, and transactional matters within the digital infrastructure ecosystem.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate commercial infrastructure agreements, including terrestrial, subsea, and space-based services.
  • Advise clients on licensing for satellite, spectrum, and telecommunications services.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on telecommunications, wireless, space, and submarine cable matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and structure commercial arrangements bridging technology and policy.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial contracting and transactional work.
  • Experience in telecommunications, digital infrastructure, or technology sectors preferred.
  • Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage sophisticated agreements.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications regulatory frameworks is a plus.
  • Must be in good standing with the DC Bar or eligible for admission.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the DC Bar or eligibility for admission.

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
