Duties

  • Manage and negotiate commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, and development deals.
  • Draft and review purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, and related transactional contracts.
  • Provide counsel on land use, zoning, title, and due diligence issues.
  • Coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose strategic legal solutions.
  • Handle closing processes and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality legal service.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial property laws, financing structures, and industry practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage complex transactions.
  • Strong writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-interaction capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.
  • Additional real estate or transactional certifications are advantageous but not required.

Skills

  • Expertise in commercial real estate negotiation and drafting.
  • Strong issue-spotting and due diligence capabilities.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with real estate transaction management tools and software (preferred).
