Job Overview

A law firm seeks a tax associate to join its Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position offers a unique opportunity for a lateral associate to be part of an expanding team that supports diverse client needs. The role involves working with for-profit and nonprofit developers on affordable multifamily housing projects across the U.S.

Duties

  • Represent clients in the development, acquisition, construction, and sale of affordable housing.
  • Utilize federal, state, and local affordable housing programs effectively.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and policy advisors to meet client objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience in partnership tax and federal income tax credits preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills.
  • Member in good standing of any state bar.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
  • LLM in Taxation preferred.

Certifications

  • Bar membership in good standing.

  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
