Associate Attorney needed for Glenwood Springs office

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their Glenwood Springs, CO, team. The ideal candidate will primarily handle family law cases, with some involvement in criminal defense law and small civil matters. Trial or mock trial experience is a plus, as is proficiency in the Spanish language.

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Handle primarily family law cases
• Manage a caseload consisting of some criminal defense law and small civil matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Colorado State Bar (or ability to become admitted)
• Relevant legal experience preferred
• Familiarity with family law procedures and statutes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
