Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney licensed in Kansas to provide legal representation to financial institutions in creditors’ rights matters, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and replevin. This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-volume legal environment that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and service excellence.

Location:

  • Overland Park, KS

Duties:

  • Represent financial institutions in residential foreclosure, bankruptcy, and replevin cases

  • Conduct detailed reviews of loan documents and supporting case materials

  • Draft and respond to motions, pleadings, notices, and correspondence

  • Handle court appearances both in person and via video hearings

  • Analyze legal issues and develop strategic solutions

  • Identify causes of action, defenses, and counterclaims with supporting evidence

  • Supervise non-attorney staff to ensure legal and procedural compliance

  • Contribute to ethics and compliance initiatives within the firm

  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve legal outcomes and client satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Kansas

  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience (preferred)

  • Ability to travel for court hearings and case-related tasks

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume legal setting

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Kansas

  • Missouri licensure or willingness to obtain multi-state licensure is a plus
