Job Overview:
A leading national law firm is currently seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. This role is designed for legal professionals with a strong background in IP litigation, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-profile matters in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment. The position supports a firm-wide practice with broad exposure to complex cases and strategic litigation.

Location:

  • Fort Worth, TX

Duties:

  • Handle all stages of intellectual property litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and court filings

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials as needed

  • Collaborate with cross-office litigation teams on case strategy and execution

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams

  • Contribute to business development and knowledge sharing across the IP group

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of intellectual property litigation experience

  • Experience with the Federal Circuit or similar appellate courts is a plus

  • Strong litigation and case management capabilities

  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex technical and legal concepts

  • Demonstrated interest in growing within a national IP practice

  • Must be eligible to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Undergraduate degree required

  • Graduate degree transcripts should be submitted if applicable

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice

Skills:

  • Superior legal research and writing abilities

  • Strong oral advocacy and communication skills

  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure
