Job Description

Duties:

  • Manage a personal caseload of probate matters.
  • Manage a personal caseload of guardianship matters.
  • Conduct probate and guardianship hearings.
  • Assist senior attorneys with probate litigation matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate plan drafting, guardianship, and probate.
  • Thorough knowledge of probate rules and statutes, including local court rules within Florida.
  • Ability to handle probate and guardianship hearings independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Florida State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using estate planning drafting software; familiarity with Lawgic is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
