Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dynamic Labor and Employment Associate with at least two years of litigation experience to join their team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, including experience with temporary restraining orders, trade secret misappropriation, and wage and hour class action litigation.

Duties

• Handle temporary restraining order and temporary injunction proceedings.
• Litigate trade secret misappropriation and noncompete cases.
• Manage wage and hour class action and single plaintiff employment litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Participate in trial preparation and settlement negotiations.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of labor and employment litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Experience with discovery and motion practice.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, collegial environment.
• Demonstrated client relationship and business development skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Texas Bar.
