A law firm located in Boston, MA, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 7-10 years of experience in construction-related litigation. The ideal candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in construction-related litigation matters, including disputes over contracts, defects, delays, and payment issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and prepare legal arguments.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings and proceedings.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including document production, interrogatories, and requests for admission.
  • Conduct depositions of witnesses, including experts and fact witnesses.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
  • Manage case files and deadlines, ensuring adherence to court schedules and procedural requirements.
  • Assist in mentoring junior associates and support staff.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing with relevant bar association(s).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction-related litigation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Experience drafting legal documents and pleadings.
  • Knowledge of construction law and litigation procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
