A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position requires the candidate to be a licensed Indiana attorney in good standing with superior analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will have the opportunity to work with clients of various sizes, from small to Fortune 500 companies, and engage in substantive and impactful work. They will handle challenging merger and acquisition assignments as well as general business matters.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on business transactions.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to business law matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.
• Assist in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and transactional support.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex business matters.
• Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting business transactions.

Requirements:

• Licensed Indiana attorney in good standing.
• Superior analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• 2+ years of business transactions experience preferred.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Indiana State Bar.
