Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm is currently seeking experienced Litigation Attorney to join its busy office in the Denver Tech Center (DTC) area. These roles focus on insurance defense litigation, offering significant opportunities for professional growth, direct client interaction, and full case responsibility. The ideal candidates will possess strong litigation skills, excellent legal writing ability, and a proactive, organized approach to managing a demanding caseload.

Location:

• Colorado Springs, Colorado

Duties:

• Defend clients in first- and third-party insurance claims

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop defense strategies

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, complaints, and coverage analyses

• Manage written discovery, depositions, and court appearances in state and federal courts

• Communicate effectively with courts, opposing counsel, witnesses, clients, and claims specialists

• Prepare witnesses and evidence for trials, hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution

• Track billable hours using electronic practice management software

• Manage litigation files from inception through resolution, trial, or appeal

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation

• Experience handling all phases of litigation, including depositions, motions, and hearings

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned matters

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing capabilities

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities

• Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presence

• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

• Proficiency in using legal practice management software
