Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, and candidates must be licensed in West Virginia.

Duties:

  • Handle employment litigation cases, including drafting responsive pleadings and managing all aspects of the discovery process.
  • Draft legal motions, including motions for summary judgment.
  • Conduct depositions, hearings, and court appearances effectively.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, advocating for their interests.
  • Work with local, state, and federal agencies on employment-related matters.
  • Conduct legal research and case investigations to support client matters.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide regular updates on case progress and legal advice to clients.
  • Maintain organized case files, documentation, and client communication.
  • Stay updated on relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of employment litigation experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Active Bar membership in the state of West Virginia.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the state of West Virginia is mandatory for this role.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
