Banking & Finance Associate

Job Overview:
A nationally respected law firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its Banking & Finance practice group. This role focuses on representing both lenders and borrowers across a variety of complex financing transactions, including private credit arrangements, syndicated credit facilities, and growth capital financings. The ideal candidate will bring a client-centered mindset, excellent legal drafting skills, and a collaborative approach to a fast-paced and dynamic legal environment.

Location:

• Austin, TX

Duties:

• Advise clients on domestic and international finance transactions

• Structure, draft, and negotiate loan agreements and related documents

• Represent borrowers and lenders in private credit and syndicated lending deals

• Support clients in growth capital financings across various industries

• Work cross-functionally with internal teams across offices and practice areas

• Deliver high-quality legal counsel aligned with clients’ business goals

Requirements:

• 2 to 6 years of relevant law firm experience in banking and finance

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions from start to finish

• High level of motivation and strong client service orientation

• Member in good standing of at least one U.S. State Bar

• Must meet licensing requirements of the jurisdiction where the role is based

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission in at least one U.S. state

• California applicants must be admitted or eligible to practice upon passing the California Bar Exam
