Duties

• Lead attorney on cases after training and probationary period
• Research client-related issues
• Attend hearings and settlement conferences with licensing entities
• Draft and file legal documents
• Develop legal theories and execute plans for hearings
• Communicate effectively with clients
• Collaborate with clients, senior associates, and staff
• Maintain organized client files
• Perform legal research and attend legal proceedings

Requirements

• J.D. degree and active law license in North Carolina
• Excellent written, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills
• Deadline-driven and organized
• Courtroom experience preferred
• Experience in professional licensing/administrative law preferred
• Proficient in basic computer software
• Experience with cloud-based technology required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)
