Job Overview:
A boutique bankruptcy law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney with a minimum of three years of experience. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload involving debtors, creditors, and trustees in a supportive and collegial environment. Location:

  • Fort Lauderdale, FL

Duties:

  • Manage 15–30 active bankruptcy cases from inception through resolution

  • Develop case strategy and provide direction to support staff

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and third parties

  • Represent clients in court and at hearings

  • Negotiate complex settlement agreements

  • Participate in client development and relationship building

  • Contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere with a long-term growth mindset

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling bankruptcy matters

  • Experience with both individual and business bankruptcies

  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

  • Strong presence and effectiveness in courtroom advocacy

  • Prior involvement in business disputes and complex negotiations

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida

  • In good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills

  • Strong negotiation and strategic thinking abilities

  • Effective verbal and written communication

  • High attention to detail and time management
