A law firm is seeking a Junior Environmental And Mass Tort Litigation Associate Attorney for their office in Richmond, VA.

Job Overview:

The Junior Environmental And Mass Tort Litigation Associate Attorney will handle various aspects of environmental law and mass tort litigation, including contaminated site clean-ups, due diligence reviews, renewable fuel approvals, and nanotechnology matters. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in incident response, product liability litigation, and/or energy litigation. Judicial clerks with relevant experience will also be considered.

Duties:

  • Handle a range of tasks related to environmental law and mass tort litigation.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing on relevant cases and issues.
  • Assist in incident response, product liability litigation, and energy litigation matters.
  • Participate in contaminated site clean-ups, due diligence reviews, and approvals for renewable fuels and nanotechnology.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in incident response, product liability, and/or energy litigation.
  • Current judicial clerks with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Demonstrated top-notch legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm environment and/or judicial clerkship is preferred.
  • Bar license in WV, KY, OH, AZ, IN, or TN is considered a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar license in WV, KY, OH, AZ, IN, or TN is considered a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analysis skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental law and mass tort litigation.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
