A law firm is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney for their Santa Rosa, CA, office.

Job Overview:
The Estate Planning Attorney will be responsible for meeting with new and existing clients to address their estate planning needs. They will draft and review estate plans for clients, from modest to high-net-worth individuals, encompassing simple to complex and advanced estate, gift, and tax plans. This role requires maintaining strong relationships with clients and legal professionals.

Duties:

  • Meet with new and existing clients to discuss estate planning needs
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and legal professionals
  • Draft and review estate plans for a diverse client base
  • Address a range of estate planning matters, including trust and estate administration and litigation, related business and real property issues, and tax law as pertains to related business
  • Take on increasing responsibility within the firm
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver comprehensive legal services

Requirements:

  • License to practice law in California
  • 1-3 years of recent experience in Estate Planning in California
  • Knowledge and experience in trust and estate administration and litigation, related business and real property issues, and tax law
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Superior analytical, drafting, and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, and thoughtful approach to legal practice
  • Preferred ties to or interest in living in Sonoma County

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California or ability to become a member
