Job Title: Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Handle a diverse and high-volume portfolio of creditor-side legal matters

• Perform legal analysis and draft motions, pleadings, and correspondence with clarity and precision

• Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings across Michigan

• Negotiate case resolutions with opposing counsel and other stakeholders

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to ensure accurate case tracking and outcomes

• Maintain detailed case files and meet case deadlines in a fast-paced setting

• Support internal reporting requirements and performance metrics

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Michigan (mandatory)

• Between 0-3 years of relevant legal experience in collections, civil litigation, or bankruptcy

• Willingness to travel within the state for court appearances

• Interest in expanding licensure to additional jurisdictions within a multi-state footprint (GA, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, OH)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities

• Clear and persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
