A law firm in Miami, Florida, is seeking a Senior Attorney with 6+ years of experience in drafting litigation documents, such as motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions in health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda. Strong communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. The ideal candidate should possess transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools. Strong project management skills and attention to detail will be critical to success. State and federal court experience is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Admission to the state Bar of Florida.
  • 6+ years of experience with drafting litigation documents in health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters.
  • Strong communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • State and federal court experience preferred.

 

Experience:

6+ years of experience with drafting litigation documents, such as motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions in health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters.
