Job Overview

An established and rapidly growing employment law litigation firm is seeking a passionate and client-focused Employment Rights Attorney for its Columbus, Ohio office. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact by advocating for employees facing workplace discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and other employment violations. Location

  • Columbus, Ohio

Duties

  • Conduct initial consultations and evaluate potential employment claims

  • Assess legal issues involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, FMLA violations, and unpaid overtime

  • Manage the full lifecycle of claims including negotiations and settlement discussions

  • Draft legal documents such as EEOC charges and state complaint forms

  • Engage with EEOC investigators and present supporting evidence

  • Coordinate with staff and managers to manage client consultations and claim screenings

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree

  • Licensed to practice law or awaiting Ohio Bar results

  • Strong client engagement and communication skills

  • Demonstrated empathy and client-centered approach

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced legal environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar (or pending results)

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Capacity to handle a high-volume caseload with efficiency

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to client advocacy

  • Experience or interest in employment law preferred (not required)
