Job Overview: A law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking a Cyber, Privacy, and Data Innovation Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on a robust pipeline of sophisticated, innovative, and industry-leading litigation, including class actions, across a range of clients in the firm's industry verticals of technology, finance, life sciences, and energy. This role offers the opportunity to assume early and significant responsibility in managing all aspects of complex disputes and litigation, including direct client interaction, discovery management, depositions, court appearances, oral arguments, and mediations.

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Work on a pipeline of sophisticated litigation, including class actions, across various industry verticals.
  • Manage all aspects of complex disputes and litigation, including direct client interaction.
  • Manage discovery with the support of the firm's industry-leading eDiscovery, Analytics, and Litigation Support team.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Make court appearances and handle oral arguments at key hearings.
  • Handle mediations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Membership to the Oregon State Bar.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent legal research abilities.
  • Superb writing and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance working independently while being a strong team member.
  • Passionate, self-motivated, and proactive critical thinker.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership to the Oregon State Bar.
