Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated and dynamic Associate Attorney to join its team in St. Paul, Minnesota. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a personal injury lawyer to manage a diverse caseload while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The Associate Attorney will work closely with partners to advocate for clients and ensure their cases are handled with care and expertise.

Duties:

  • Represent clients with passion and commitment, ensuring their best interests are prioritized.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and draft motions, legal memoranda, and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other relevant parties.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Oversee and manage the integrity, progress, and settlement of personal injury cases.
  • Lead and manage settlement negotiations and demands process.
  • Ensure the accurate preparation and filing of court documents, including notices and letters.
  • Coordinate and manage the personal injury case calendar and deadlines.
  • Participate in meetings, conference calls, hearings, and depositions to advance client cases.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience practicing personal injury law.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and other parties effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation abilities, with a focus on securing favorable settlements.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of phone calls and emails.
  • Zeal and enthusiasm for advocating for clients and developing creative legal strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a significant caseload independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of personal injury law and litigation procedures.
