A law firm in Virginia Beach is seeking a Consumer Financial Services Career Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate must have strong academic and professional credentials, along with experience in consumer financial services matters, such as Mortgage Servicing, Foreclosure, Title Disputes, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Unfair Debt Collection Claims/Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

 

Job Overview:

  • Handling consumer financial services litigation matters
  • Utilizing experience in Mortgage Servicing, Foreclosure, Title Disputes, FCRA, and FDCPA
  • Demonstrating strong academic and professional qualifications

 

Duties:

  • Representing clients in consumer financial services litigation matters, including mortgage servicing disputes, foreclosure actions, and title disputes
  • Conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions
  • Handling discovery, including document production and depositions
  • Advising clients on compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations
  • Assisting with settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
  • Managing client relationships and providing strategic advice and counsel
  • Collaborating with other attorneys and support staff on case management and strategy

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar in good standing
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in consumer financial services matters
  • Strong academic and professional credentials
  • Admissions to other state Bars a plus

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Virginia State Bar
