A law firm is seeking a Senior Criminal Defense Attorney for their Fort Worth, TX, location.

Job Overview: The Senior Criminal Defense Attorney will provide expert legal counsel to clients facing criminal charges, managing all aspects of their cases from pretrial hearings to trials. They will analyze legal precedents, strategize case approaches, and ensure the best possible outcome for clients.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases
  • Attend pretrial hearings and provide clients with post-hearing advice and strategies
  • Manage court appearances trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research
  • Analyze probable case outcomes based on legal precedents
  • Effectively manage a workload of cases
  • Provide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits for clients
  • Gather additional evidence to support client cases or counter-prosecution charges
  • Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts
  • Collaborate with fellow associates to strategize and support case efforts

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of Criminal Defense Experience
  • Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or ability to become admitted
