A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney with at least 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong Spanish language skills and have arbitration and trial experience.

Duties:

  • Conducted legal research and provided analysis on employment litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to employment litigation cases.
  • Represent clients in arbitration, mediation, and court proceedings.
  • Manage a large caseload of employment litigation matters independently.
  • Conduct discovery, including interrogatories, document requests, and depositions.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and mediate disputes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing parties.

Requirements:

  • Active California Bar license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment litigation.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Experience with arbitration and trial proceedings.
  • Proficiency in conducting discovery, law and motion practice, and depositions.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle cases independently.
  • Strong negotiation skills in mediation and with defense counsel.
  • Excellent work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
