Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm based in New York City, NY, is seeking a highly skilled Private Equity Attorney with 4-5 years of experience in private equity, mergers, and acquisitions. This role involves leading complex transactions, drafting key legal documents, and working closely with client's business teams to support their goals. Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, merger agreements, LLC, and LP agreements
  • Handle other ancillary transaction documents for private equity fund and portfolio company clients
  • Support day-to-day legal needs of private equity clients and their business operations
  • Collaborate with clients' business teams, offering legal insights that align with business strategy
  • Manage projects with a focus on organization and attention to detail
  • Play a key role in the execution of mergers and acquisitions for various clients

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience in private equity and mergers and acquisitions
  • Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and dynamic environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Strong academic credentials

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York or eligibility to be admitted

Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking
  • Ability to manage large-scale transactions from inception to completion
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management abilities
