Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team in Fresno, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling complex federal, state, and local criminal cases. The Senior Criminal Defense Attorney will provide expert legal counsel to clients, represent them in court proceedings, and strategize case approaches to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents about their cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing advice on optimal strategies.
• Manage court appearances and trials, draft motions, conduct witness interviews, and perform legal research.
• Analyze potential case outcomes based on knowledge of legal precedents.
• Effectively manage the workload of cases to ensure timely and thorough representation.
• Provide comprehensive legal analysis to clients to assess potential case benefits.
• Gather additional evidence to bolster client cases or counter prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions, determine case strategy goals, and gather information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of Criminal Defense Experience.
• Extensive experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar or ability to become a member.
