A law firm in Plano is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to represent creditors in bankruptcy matters in Texas. The successful candidate will interact with clients and staff, prepare various legal documents, attend court hearings, manage caseloads, and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients.

 

Job Details:

  • Represent creditors in bankruptcy matters in Texas.
  • Prepare various Motions, Objections to Plan, Payment Change Notices, Fee Notices, and Orders associated with bankruptcy representation.
  • Attend court hearings related to client representation in bankruptcy cases.
  • Manage assigned caseload to meet goals and client expectations.
  • Handle escalated and time-sensitive matters as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with attorneys and staff for smooth workflow and productivity.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Preferred 2-5 years of bankruptcy experience in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases representing lenders and creditors.
  • Admission to the Texas state bar or the United States Bankruptcy Courts in Texas, and in good standing.
  • Proficiency in basic accounting and software tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve issues in a timely manner.
