Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Supervising Attorney to manage its South Carolina Division, primarily serving mortgage lenders and servicers, banks, and other mortgage investors. This role, based in Atlanta, GA, involves overseeing legal and operational compliance, managing a team, and developing business strategies.

Duties

  • Attend mediations, trials, and hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various departments for operational compliance.
  • Manage attorneys and paralegals.
  • Develop departmental policies and goals.
  • Travel as needed for business purposes.
  • Write articles and make presentations to clients and associations.
  • Participate in marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed in South Carolina; preferred in SC, AL, GA, and TN.
  • Minimum of eight years of litigation and default management experience.
  • Member of the state Bar with maintained licensing and education requirements.
  • Experience managing employees and P&L responsibility.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
