A law firm in Greenville, SC, is seeking a dedicated Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join their team. The position involves defending employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims and litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defend employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation cases through all phases of litigation.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Provide counsel to clients on workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts, and internal team members.
  • Manage case files and ensure timely completion of tasks and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing in South Carolina.
  • Should have experience practicing law with a focus on workers’ compensation defense.
  • Strong understanding of workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent litigation skills and experience handling cases independently.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trial experience in workers’ compensation cases.
  • Certification in workers’ compensation law (if applicable).
