A law firm seeking an Immigration Attorney:

Job Overview:

The Immigration Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload of immigration matters, overseeing legal strategy, supervising staff, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, managerial abilities, and a commitment to excellence in immigration law practice.

Job Details:

  • Meet with potential new clients
  • Coordinate case and legal strategy
  • Manage multiple instances, paralegals, projects, and deadlines
  • Train and supervise staff
  • Prepare and revise court documents
  • Conduct legal research and write motions, briefs, and memoranda
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes and judicial case law
  • Market the law firm's services
  • Work one Saturday a month with the potential for bonuses for new clients signed during those days.
  • Cross-sell various other practices within the law firm
  • Handle court hearings and trials
  • Become an expert on Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, Waivers, etc.
  • Immigration experience is preferred.
  • Experience in other legal areas with a desire to become practitioner in the immigration field
  • The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, team member, manager, and self-starter
  • Must also possess good business acumen and the desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-growth practice
  • Organizational skills and project management are also essential

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School
  • Active Bar License in Good Standing from any US State or PR (Required)
  • Spanish fluency or proficiency
  • Immigration experience or strong desire to learn immigration practice
