Payments & Fintech Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Dallas, TX office as a core member of a fast-paced Payments & Fintech practice group, supporting cutting-edge technology and financial services clients.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements for payment platforms, digital wallets, and fintech solutions

• Advise on outsourcing and technology-licensing arrangements in the financial services sector

• Collaborate with regulatory and compliance specialists to address emerging payments rules

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including product, IT, and risk—to ensure seamless deal execution

• Manage multiple high-priority transactions and milestones under tight deadlines

Requirements

• 3+ years of transactional experience, ideally in fintech, payments systems, or technology licensing

• Proven track record negotiating commercial contracts in the tech or financial services industries

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle concurrent matters

• Excellent attention to detail and aptitude for spotting commercial and legal risks

• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, high-energy environment

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active admission to the Texas State Bar
