The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of patent-related tasks, including patent filing, prosecution, opinion rendering, application drafting, and due diligence. They should possess strong analytical and communication skills, have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and, ideally, have experience in intellectual property litigation. Admission to a State Bar and registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is required for this role.

Duties:

  • Filing and prosecuting patents on behalf of clients.
  • Providing patentability and clearance opinions.
  • Drafting patent applications in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conducting due diligence assessments related to patent matters.
  • Collaborating with clients and colleagues on patent-related legal services.
  • Potentially assisting with intellectual property litigation (if experienced).

Requirements:

  • Admission to a State Bar and registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • 3 years of experience in patent prosecution (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent teamwork skills for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (preferred).

Certifications:

  • Admission to a State Bar.
  • Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

  • Expertise in Patent Law, Patent Preparation, and Patent Applications.
  • Experience in patentability and due diligence assessment.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property litigation (a plus).
