A law firm seeks a skilled Real Estate Associate to join its Energy & Infrastructure practice in Boston, MA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors, focusing on real estate aspects of wind, solar, and battery storage projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of real estate experience and be eager to engage with clients across various stages of the project lifecycle, including development, due diligence, and M&A transactions.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on real estate issues related to energy and infrastructure projects, including title and survey matters.
  • Support transactions across the full project lifecycle, from development through to M&A and financing.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients on complex real estate aspects of energy projects, especially within the renewable energy sector.
  • Conduct due diligence, review project documentation, and provide legal guidance on title, survey, and land use issues.
  • Assist with the structuring and negotiation of agreements, including those related to debt and tax equity financing for energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient legal support throughout all stages of energy and infrastructure development.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant real estate experience, with a preference for experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven expertise in title and survey matters, particularly within energy-related projects.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Membership to the Massachusetts State Bar is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar is required.

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate law, particularly in energy, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
