Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Litigation Counsel in New York, NY. The successful candidate will join the Construction and Government Contracting Practice Group, handling complex construction litigation and government contracting disputes. This role requires strong litigation skills and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution.

Duties

• Handle a diverse caseload involving construction litigation and government contracting disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive arguments for court and arbitration proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and experts to develop and implement case strategies.
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting, with a significant focus on construction litigation.
• Admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

• Admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
